Baby Hedgehog Congratulation

Hi All,

Hope you are staying well.  Just wanted to show you another card that I had been working on.  This one is a cute little baby hedgehog card perfect for welcoming in a little one.

I used a neutral color so it can be used for a girl or a boy.

Here are the supplies that I used in creating the card:

BABY Hammock Hedgehog Butterfly Wood Mounted Rubber Stamp PENNY BLACK 2073J  I found this one on Ebay.  New.

Close to my Heart " Congratulations" Stamp set called "For Every Occasion" D1187.

DCWV Polka Dot Embossed green dot paper

Lime Green card stock

Nuvo Glitter Drops  White Blizzard

Organdy ribbon, in my stash probably from JoAnn's.

I entered this card into these challenges:

1.  Penny Black Challenge.  Challenge is "Anything Goes".  Must use a Penny Black image.

2.  Avenue 613 Challenge.  Challenge is Anything Goes, with an optional twist of geometric shapes.

3.  Craft Rocket Challenge.  Challenge is Furry Friends.

4. Cute Card Thursday Challenge.  Challenge is Ribbons.

5. Southern Girl Challenge.  Challenge is Anything Goes.

Hope you like the way the card turned out.

Stay Healthy,
Best

Spring Flowers

Hi All,

Staying in doors and looking at challenge websites has really got my creativity flowing.  It took a little time to get back into the flow of card creating but has been a nice way to unwind during this "Stay at Home" order.

I am trying to use up some of my old stash of papers and flowers on this one.

I first looked for some pretty pastel flower paper, I think I picked this up at Michael's or Hobby Lobby about 7-8 years ago when we were in Phoenix still.

I matched it with a pretty baby blue card stock.

I die cut some turquoise scrolls for the front.  Then I die cut the pink part of the front with pink card stock and stamped it with a large (old) Stampin' Up wooden stamp that I have called "Polka Dot" in Pink Close to my Heart Ink.

I die cut the words HAPPY using Hero Arts DC150.

I couldn't find the stamp part that went to the die cut, so I used a mini clear stamp from Kaisercraft "Occasions" and just used the Birthday portion of the Happy Birthday stamp in the set.

When putting it all together I decided I needed some flowers, so I picked out these that were in my stash, turquoise and white.  I added some mini brads in the middle for contrast and some pretty organza pink ribbon to finish it off.

Here is what I created:
Spring Flowers

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

1.  Penny Black Challenge.  Challenge is Spring Flowers.

2. Pinsperational Challenge.  Challenge is using this photo as inspiration:

3.  Die Cut Diva's Challenge.  Challenge is anything goes, using Die cuts.

Hope you guys like the card I created for Spring.

Stay healthy,  and keep crafting.

Precious New Baby Card

Hi all,

I was asked by a co-worker to make a pretty new baby girl card for a friend of hers who just had a baby girl. The baby is Norweigen, so she wanted it to say "Velkommen" instead of "Welcome".
I entered this card into the following challenges:
Penny B Friends Saturday Challenges: the challenge is for "Someone Special" (all babies are special) the stamp is a Penny Black Stamp.
Digital Ink Co Challenge: the challenge is "Pets and Baby Birthdays"
One Stop Craft Challenge: the challenge is "Make it personal".

I just love how this card came out, so soft and pretty....Hope you agree....
It is very clear to me now, that this little hedgehog stamp was a very good buy. I have already made, hmmm.... I think about 3 cards with it....It is such an awesome stamp.

Well, have a great week....
Happy crafting,
Julie

Challenges Times 7

Hi all,
I was able to complete the most adorable baby card....at least I think so. I have wanted this Penny Black Hedgehog stamp since the first time I saw it....It is so cute..... I finally splurged and bought one and finally sat down to use it....I hope you like it too....
I used the sketch at Cute Card Thursday to begin with. It was a nice and simple one and I was able to incorporate the different colors in the patterned paper into the card layout.
Then over at Cupcake Craft the challenge was to make a Baby Card. I immediately thought of this hedgehog stamp.
There were several challenges where the challenge was for "New Beginnings". There is nothing more fitting for new beginnings than a new baby. So I entered this card into these challenges for the new beginnings.
So, onto the card....Here it is....

Happy crafting,
Julie

More Challenges...Papertake and ABC....

Hi everyone....
Here is the second card out of three that I got completed today....

I used the sketch on Papertake Weekly. It worked perfectly for the little hedgehogs that I had decided to use.
The second challenge I used was over at ABC Challenge blogspot. They are up to the letter K, so it worked well to have the challenge of "Kissing" since next month will be Valentine's Day.

Right before Christmas, I bought the cutest Penny Black Hedgehog stamp, of 2 hedgehogs kissing. It was perfect for this challenge.

One more post to come today.....

Happy Crafting,
Julie

Penny B and One Stop Craft Challenges

Hi all,

First of all I would like to wish you all a Happy Turkey Day......
I hope you all enjoy your day with family and friends.....

I was able to get another card made up using 2 challenges.

The first challenge was over at Penny B Friends Saturday Challenge Blog. The challenge over there was Winter Wonderland. Well, for me that must mean a snowman.....lol... I found this cute Penny Black image of a snowman and a dog....I just love how animated the stamp set is.....

The second challenge I incorporated was over at http://onestopcraftchallenge.blogspot.com/. The challenge there was to make a card using snowflakes. Well, I think between the background paper, the image snowflakes and the large snowflake on the front, I think I have that covered.

Here is my card for both of these challenges:

Happy Turkey Day!

Two challenges in one.....

Hi all,

Are you all ready for Thanksgiving? I still can not believe Thanksgiving is this week.....my time is just flying by, it amazes me how fast things seem to be going.....

Anyway, I was off work today, so I decided to try out some challenges. First stop was the Ildico Blog to see what they were up to.....the challenge was to make a card using a Christmas song to inspire you. Well, all the songs started going thru my head as I looked through my stamps and I saw this little Hedgehog holding a Christmas tree and immediately started singing "Rockin' around the Christmas tree", so that is my inspiration.

Then I saw on Mojo Monday they posted a nice little sketch and it worked perfectly with my little hedgehog. So, I incorporated the sketch in as well.

Hope you like the little hedgehogs as much as I do......
Enjoy your day!

3 Challenges in one....

Happy Hump Day....Hope you all had a great Wednesday.

Today I managed to make a card that incorporated 3 different challenges. I recently bought a cute little snowman wooden stamp from a friend....not knowing that it was actually a Penny Black stamp. I was thrilled as I really like the Penny Black images. That must be why I picked that one up, that and I really like snowmen....

Anyway, I decided to participate in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog. Their challenge was "Christmas for the guys". I thought the snowman would do just fine for this challenge.

The second challenge I incorporated into this card was the Sketch Saturday challenge. It was a nice little sketch. I used the snowflakes for most of the circles.

The third challenge I decided to incorporate into this card was the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. The challenge over there was "Glitter me silly". I decided to put glitter all around the snowman so it looked like it was snowing.....

Anyway, here is the card that I incorporated all these challenges into.

Hope you like the snowman as much as I do.

Happy Crafting.
