Spring Flowers

Hi All,

Staying in doors and looking at challenge websites has really got my creativity flowing.  It took a little time to get back into the flow of card creating but has been a nice way to unwind during this "Stay at Home" order.

I am trying to use up some of my old stash of papers and flowers on this one.

I first looked for some pretty pastel flower paper, I think I picked this up at Michael's or Hobby Lobby about 7-8 years ago when we were in Phoenix still.

I matched it with a pretty baby blue card stock.

I die cut some turquoise scrolls for the front.  Then I die cut the pink part of the front with pink card stock and stamped it with a large (old) Stampin' Up wooden stamp that I have called "Polka Dot" in Pink Close to my Heart Ink.

I die cut the words HAPPY using Hero Arts DC150.

I couldn't find the stamp part that went to the die cut, so I used a mini clear stamp from Kaisercraft "Occasions" and just used the Birthday portion of the Happy Birthday stamp in the set.

When putting it all together I decided I needed some flowers, so I picked out these that were in my stash, turquoise and white.  I added some mini brads in the middle for contrast and some pretty organza pink ribbon to finish it off.

Here is what I created:
Spring Flowers

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

1.  Penny Black Challenge.  Challenge is Spring Flowers.

2. Pinsperational Challenge.  Challenge is using this photo as inspiration:

3.  Die Cut Diva's Challenge.  Challenge is anything goes, using Die cuts.

Hope you guys like the card I created for Spring.

Stay healthy,  and keep crafting.

Pretty In Pink

Hi All,

Another quick card creation.  I had been wanting to try this new snowflake die cut that I purchased before the holidays but had already created my Christmas cards.  Now I can get a head start for next year.  I think this one turned our really elegant and pretty.  I usually am one for the "non-traditional" Christmas card colors for the holiday.  I rarely make Red and Green Christmas cards.  Here is what I created:

I entered this card in several challenges.

1.  Paper Players Challenge.  The challenge is a Tic Tac Toe challenge. PP484

I chose the elements in the first column going down, ribbon, die-cut and pink.

2.  Creations in Pink Challenge.  The challenge is Anything Goes in Mainly Pink.  I think I have that one mastered since the card is all pink, except for the black letting.

3. Merry Little Christmas Challenge.  The challenge is Anything Christmas goes.

4. 12 Months of Christmas Challenge.  Challenge is "Ice Ice Baby".  To feature Ice mainly on the card.

5.  Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge.    Challenge is "Anything Goes".

6.  Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge.   Challenge is "Anything Christmas Goes".

Well, I hope you like the card.  It was fun to bring out some of my supplies and get craft.

Keep safe, Best.

Easter is around the corner

Hi All,

With Easter just around the corner I wanted to create a card that I could send to my niece for  Easter.  I looked  for something cute and cuddly that I thought she would like.

Here is the card that I came up with:

I am also entering this in three challenges.  I thought I would enter a few challenges just to try to get the creative juices flowing and get some inspiration.  It seemed to work.  At least I am getting some ideas by doing this.

The challenges that I entered with this card are:

1.  Feeling Sketchy Challenge   They created this sketch for inspiration:

Feeling Sketchy
2.  Sparkles Forum Challenge.  Their challenge is:  Easter.

3.  Digi Chooseday Challenge.  Their challenge is:  Anything Goes

Hope you like my little Easter Bunny creation and I hop my niece likes it too.  Anyways,  stay safe and healthy.

Best,
Julie

Merci

Hi All,

Just trying to be a little crafty while staying "safe at home".  I hope you all are doing the same.  I broke out some of my supplies since I am finding some extra time on my hands these days.

I created this card for a couple of challenges.

First challenge is Color Throw down.    #ctd586
The Colors that should be used are pink, purple and white.

The second challenge is Crafty Friends Challenge.
The challenge is to use a Spring color Pallet.
