Hi All,

2 Kissing Fish

Hi All,

Hope this day finds you well and safe in these trying times.

Today's creation is a cute Anniversary card that I made.  The image is a digital image of a fish giving another fish a smack.   I am not sure where I picked this one up, it is an older digital stamp that I picked up.  If anyone knows who the maker of the digital stamp is, please let me know.  I would live to give them credit.

Here is a list of items that I used in making the card:
Blue Bunny Brilliant Blue dot Paper

To stamp the Happy Anniversary, I used Archival black Close to My Heart Ink and the stamp set Kaisercraft Mini Occasions.  This one looks to be out of stock most places.  I was able to find it on Ebay for a reasonable price.

Organza ribbon in blue, from JoAnn's in my stash.
Orange cardstock in my stash.
Topped the bubbles and the water off with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard.

I entered the fish card into the following challenges:

1.  Avenue 613 Challenge.  Challenge is Anything with an optional twist of using a Geometric Shape.  In this card, I used dots.

3.  Crafter's Castle Challenge.  Challenge is Anything Goes.

4.  Colour Crazy Challenge.  Challenge is anything hand colored goes.

5.  Cardz for Galz Challenge.  Challenge is Cute Animals.

Hope you like the creation and think that the fish are as cute as I do.   Anyways, take care and be safe out there.

Black and White and Pink all over

Hi all,

I spent another day working in the creative yesterday.  I was able to create 4 cards, 1 mixed media canvas and a few jewelry items which I will be sharing with you through out the week.  It was nice to be inspired and to be able to have the time to create.

Here is the first card that I wanted to share with you.  It's a simple black and white card with a splash of pink:

The items I used in creating this card are:

Hero Arts Stamp and Cut DC150, where I stamped birthday on the pink scalloped card stock and die cut "Happy" with black card stock to add above the stamped birthday greeting.

Cuttlebug Swirl Emboss Folder.  This one is super old and well loved.  I could only find the Darice brand to link to which would work perfectly as well.

The Swirl stamp set is also a super old one and well loved.  It is not in the original packaging so I am not sure what brand it it anymore.  I found one from Inkadinkado that would work perfectly.

Gina K stamp set Hello Sunshine.  I used the flowers to create the flowers that were stamped in the pink scalloped die cut.

Spellbinders Scalloped die cut.

Nuvo Glitter Drops in Sherbert Shimmer.

I added a tiny little plaid pink and white bow which I had in my stash to finish it off.

Hope you liked the card that I created.  I added the card to the following challenges:

1. CAS on Friday Challenge.  Challenge is black and white with one color (my color is pink).

2.  Creative Finger Challenge.  Challenge is anything goes.

3.  PolkaDoodle Challenge.  Challenge is Anything goes.

4.  Challenge up your life Challenge.  Challenge is Flowers.

Thank you for looking,  stay safe.
Best,
Julie

Botanical Gardens

Hi All,

Worked on another card yesterday.  I needed a Birthday card for a co workers Birthday.  She loves plants and flowers so it seemed fitting to do a floral themed card.
Here is the card I created:

I used a pretty teal base card stock to pull in the teal color in the patterned paper.  Then die cut a large scalloped edge on a mustard yellow card stock.  The scalloped edge is from Spellbinders.  I then cut the same scalloped edge into the floral patterned paper (My Minds Eye)  to match the mustard yellow card  stock.  I added a yellow flower from my stock and added a brad in the middle of the flower.  I stamped "Happy Birthday" using the Kaisercraft mini stamp "Occasions".

I submitted the card to the following challenges:
1.  Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  The challenge is a color challenge HSS#336

2. A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge.  The Challenge is "Anything Goes".

3. A Perfect Time to Craft Challenge.  The Challenge is "Anything Goes".

Thank you, I hope you like what you see.
Best, stay safe out there.

Spring Flowers

Hi All,

Staying in doors and looking at challenge websites has really got my creativity flowing.  It took a little time to get back into the flow of card creating but has been a nice way to unwind during this "Stay at Home" order.

I am trying to use up some of my old stash of papers and flowers on this one.

I first looked for some pretty pastel flower paper, I think I picked this up at Michael's or Hobby Lobby about 7-8 years ago when we were in Phoenix still.

I matched it with a pretty baby blue card stock.

I die cut some turquoise scrolls for the front.  Then I die cut the pink part of the front with pink card stock and stamped it with a large (old) Stampin' Up wooden stamp that I have called "Polka Dot" in Pink Close to my Heart Ink.

I die cut the words HAPPY using Hero Arts DC150.

I couldn't find the stamp part that went to the die cut, so I used a mini clear stamp from Kaisercraft "Occasions" and just used the Birthday portion of the Happy Birthday stamp in the set.

When putting it all together I decided I needed some flowers, so I picked out these that were in my stash, turquoise and white.  I added some mini brads in the middle for contrast and some pretty organza pink ribbon to finish it off.

Here is what I created:
Spring Flowers

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

1.  Penny Black Challenge.  Challenge is Spring Flowers.

2. Pinsperational Challenge.  Challenge is using this photo as inspiration:

3.  Die Cut Diva's Challenge.  Challenge is anything goes, using Die cuts.

Hope you guys like the card I created for Spring.

Stay healthy,  and keep crafting.

Pretty In Pink

Hi All,

Another quick card creation.  I had been wanting to try this new snowflake die cut that I purchased before the holidays but had already created my Christmas cards.  Now I can get a head start for next year.  I think this one turned our really elegant and pretty.  I usually am one for the "non-traditional" Christmas card colors for the holiday.  I rarely make Red and Green Christmas cards.  Here is what I created:

I entered this card in several challenges.

1.  Paper Players Challenge.  The challenge is a Tic Tac Toe challenge. PP484

I chose the elements in the first column going down, ribbon, die-cut and pink.

2.  Creations in Pink Challenge.  The challenge is Anything Goes in Mainly Pink.  I think I have that one mastered since the card is all pink, except for the black letting.

3. Merry Little Christmas Challenge.  The challenge is Anything Christmas goes.

4. 12 Months of Christmas Challenge.  Challenge is "Ice Ice Baby".  To feature Ice mainly on the card.

5.  Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge.    Challenge is "Anything Goes".

6.  Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge.   Challenge is "Anything Christmas Goes".

Well, I hope you like the card.  It was fun to bring out some of my supplies and get craft.

Keep safe, Best.

Easter is around the corner

Hi All,

With Easter just around the corner I wanted to create a card that I could send to my niece for  Easter.  I looked  for something cute and cuddly that I thought she would like.

Here is the card that I came up with:

I am also entering this in three challenges.  I thought I would enter a few challenges just to try to get the creative juices flowing and get some inspiration.  It seemed to work.  At least I am getting some ideas by doing this.

The challenges that I entered with this card are:

1.  Feeling Sketchy Challenge   They created this sketch for inspiration:

Feeling Sketchy
2.  Sparkles Forum Challenge.  Their challenge is:  Easter.

3.  Digi Chooseday Challenge.  Their challenge is:  Anything Goes

Hope you like my little Easter Bunny creation and I hop my niece likes it too.  Anyways,  stay safe and healthy.

Best,
Julie
