S is for Snow....

For this card I used my Close to my Heart stamp set Snow Friends, the paper is the Winter matstack from DCWV, added some ribbon and some stickles and this is what you get...This set of stamps is so cute and can be used in various ways. The challenge over at ABC Challenges was to add snow. There are snowflakes in the patterned paper and of course snowmen....lots of cute little snowmen...

2 Sketches 4 you Challenge Kazan's #14

Here is a card that I made for 2 Sketches 4 you challenge, It was to follow their sketch. I used patterned paper from Scribble Scrabble (Suzy Snowflake), my Cuttlebug snowflake emboss folder, added some chipboard sprayed with glimmer spray in Wild Currant, added some shimmery ribbon....Hope you like it....

Lil' Pea-Nut

I just got Lil' Pea-Nut in the mail and I couldn't wait to create something with him. He is so cute. I bought this set from Our Craft Lounge. They just started making stamp sets and have some really cute ones, like Lil' Pea-Nut....So, to complete the challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar I decided to use Lil' Pea-Nut....Hope you like it....I am really happy with the way it came out and he is so darn cute, he just puts a smile on my face....

Altered Composition Books

Here are a couple of composition books I have altered for my nieces for Christmas. I used Close to My Hearts Whoops a Daisy paper, added some bling with Stickles and some pretty hot pink with white polka dotted ribbon. Then I added their names, they turned out really cute. I will be adding some gel pens to their gift....

2 Challenges in one

I needed to get back into making my Christmas cards and Beate's sketch challenge over at Fresh and Fun and Cute Card Thursday's challenge to use snowflakes was just the inspiration I needed to get back on track. I only have about 25 Christmas cards made so I really need all the inspiration I can to keep going with these. I used Close to My Heart Gracious Greeting stamps and my Cuttlebug, with Sizzex snowflake diecut, some stickles, and added a little bling on the snowflake....Thanks for looking....

2 Challenges in one

I combined 2 challenges to come up with this Thank you card. First challenge was from Stamp Something, the challenge was to make a card around "Thanks"....for Thanksgiving being only a few days away.... The other challenge I combined it with was for Poetic Artistry's sketch challenge.....So here is what I came up with....I hope you enjoy....

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #26

For this challenge I was inspired to make a birthday card for my sister in law. Her birthday isn't until Dec 22nd, but I didn't want to get caught off guard with the hustle and bustle of Christmas and forget to make one. This challenge gave me the perfect inspiration to get that done.....Here goes.....

2 Sketches 4 you Challenge~Laura's sketch #13

I needed to make a card for my neices birthday and this sketch gave me just the inspiration I needed. I used watercolor pencils to color in the bear, then used Twinkling H20's to give the bear and flower a shimmer....The shimmer goes well with the sparkingling paper, and the shimmer of the pretty pink and white polka dotted ribbon....Hope you like it.....

High Hopes Challenge-Sparklemania

I have had some time to create and thougth I would do some of the challenges this week. This card is for the challenge over at High Hopes which is Sparklemania. I used sparkly paper from My Minds Eye with a muted rosey pink color cardstock called Fire Hearts from Bazzill. Snowfriends stamp set from Close to My Heart and Prisma Glitter. I distressed the edges...I think it turned out cute....

Anything but a card Challenge...

Dutch Dare is having a challenge for anything but a card....I altered this Large Clothes Pin Picture or Memo holder... I used Close to my Heart Magic Moments paper, added some coordinating ribbon and some hot pink paint....This paper works real well with altering things. I have seen a wooden frame altered with it and it turned out really cute....

Here is my card for the challenge on Taylored Expressions....I had to really think about the 3 embellishments at the end of the cardstock...I originally had a burgandy snowflake diecut that I was going to use...after setting it aside a few times I finally saw my punch and used this white cardstock punch....

I started this card with the challenge from A Spoon Full of sugar, and then when I added the lace, I thought about the challenge on ABC Challenge blog. I decided to combine the two and this is what I came up with. I would have never thought to add these two colors together but it worked out when I found I had some patterned paper with those two colors....Hope you like it.....

I {heart} 2 Stamp challenge

This creation was fun to do. It is using Close To my Hearts Treasure life, Sept stamp of the month. I couln't wait to get my hands on it and now I know why. I just love the various looks this stamp can provide. This card was done for I {heart} 2 stamps sketch challenge, hope you enjoy....

It's getting a little wild around here.....

Over on Dutch Dare they wanted to see wild animals, well I hope this turtle is wild enough. I just love how this card came out. The colors, look well and the rope just topped it off. I really do love polka dots....

Mothers & Daughters sketch challenge

Another week's gone by...It has been a bit busy, so I pretty much had to wait until the week end to participate in any challenges. I managed to get a few done, plus a 9x9 acordion wedding album done for a friend of mine...

Anyway, on to the challenge...Here is my card for the Mothers & Daughters Sketch Challenge....I got to use my CTMH Snow Friends stamp set again. These guys are so cute...I also stamped snowflakes on the white ribbon. This is a technique I like to do.

I decided to use my Cuttlebug Tinkerbell die cut/emboss template to complete this sketch. I added a little flower bling in the corner and finished it off with stickles to outline Tink. Hope you like Tink....

Art and Soul Debut~includes contest during video

Close To My Heart has produced an online craft show called "Art and Soul". It will begin airing on Tuesday, September 16th on CTMH TV which is available now at www.creationsbyjulie.myctmh.com. Episodes will be added every other week and will feature fresh tips and techniques, current product, and limited-time offers and specials for viewers. The episodes will be 15-20 minutes long and show a project from start to finish.
